Great food, service was excellent. Thanks for a wonderful evening!! Peanuts on the floor, hot buttery rolls with sweet butter upon being seated. Great sweet tea. Big and filling appetizers.

Texas Roadhouse in Coeur d'Alene is Awesome! Love the Food, Service, and energy ! Found out that you must call ahead because of how busy they are! Had lunch at Texas Roadhouse and saw a little girl with Cancer there, who was having lunch there from the Make a Wish foundation! Good stuff

Coeur D'Alene, ID: Our standard by which we judge other steakhouses IN and OUTside the chain. No lie. We just came back from visiting in Muncie, IN. We dined twice at the local Texas Roadhouse there. Although the general great quality of the steaks were similar, many small details made THIS particular TR here extra special. Both locations offered and honored the "Call Ahead" process of calling in your name half an hour before arrival to get a jump start at getting seated as soon as you arrive. FOOD Ft Worth 12 Oz steak, sides of House Salad and Green Beans Ft Worth 12 Oz Steak, with sides of Caesar Salad and Mashed Potatoes with toppings on the side Steak Kabobs, with a substitute for rice pilaf of a plain, baked Sweet Potato, and side of House Salad DRINKS Strawberry Lemonade (bottomless) Iced Tea (bottomless) Original Rocks Margarita, with salted rim Service was so attentive, almost overboard. Was it our having a booth in the bar area? Kelsey was smiley, and kept our lemonade and iced tea glasses filled. Our salads arrived as requested, some with no croutons, in keeping to our gluten free diet. When Kelsey was busy mixing drinks, another staff member would quickly stop by to see how we were doing. The meat arrived at the table perfectly seared to the medium rare we all ordered, tender and juicy. When the manager here stopped by to inquire how we liked our dinners, I had to commend her on how nicely browned the dinner rolls were. Additionally, I shared my observation of not seeing bread plates stacked up throughout the dining areas on ledges that allowed customers' hair to easily contact the edges of the clean plates like at that other location. She shared that this location was consistently in the top 50 of their over 400 restaurants, nation wide, for sales, a very busy store. They also maintain a generous size staff here. I can see why they are a top notch facility at this location. No wondering if someone would ever tend to our dinings needs. Drinks were kept full, as appropriate. Used dishes were promptly removed. No heavy selling of desserts either but our birthday person did order a slice of in house baked strawberry-topped cheesecake. Two spoons were served with it without asking! I had a taste, several actually. It was one of the best New York style cheesecakes I have ever sampled. We'll be back. They are a chain but THIS LOCATION is pretty darn close to a fine restaurant, just in a casual wild west setting. I will have to have my own slice of cheesecake next time. This visit just confirms my previous appraisals of it being the ideal steak house in its price range. Done well, Texas Roadhouse, CdA (Coeur D'Alene)!!!

This place was packed for a Tuesday early evening. The service was prompt and friendly. The roles were yummy with raspberry honey butter. I filled up on roles and salad before getting my meal. I ordered the chicken fried chicken with sweet potato. The food was good and they kept my sweet tea full.

Sometimes when you visit mom you have to go places mom likes, so that what I did, mom wanted to go to Texas Roadhouse for lunch, I had never been to a Texas Roadhouse so I was up for it. When you 1st get to the table you notice there is a bucket of peanuts, my mom loves those! Also they bring you out warm rolls, they have a sweet honey glaze on the top of them and with the cinnamon butter, good lawd these are some good tastin rolls, I could make a meal out of just them! After checking out the menu I went with the 8oz sirloin and added the sautéed mushrooms & onions to the steak, paired it up with a loaded bake potato and bowl of chili. This was descent meal, and my mom was happy we went! Service was great and friendly, I could see why my mom enjoys it here.

Love this Texas Roadhouse! Great bartenders make it fun to sit and watch a game while pigging out! This roadhouse is always packed so don't whine if you have to wait a bit! Best steak and best value on the menu is without a doubt the 11 oz top sirloin! Its hand cut and aged perfect! The bread of course is ridiculously good and fattening! Peanuts are everywhere of course and fresh as can be. Other meat choices are good too and typical roadhouse fare. My buddies die for the ribs. I love the folks over at Outback Steakhouse in C'da bit I am sorry the food and prices at Roadhouse are way the hell better! Service here is decent at the tables, but always a lot of turnover with wait staff. Its why I hit the bar! Same women and great service! Plus they are pretty dang cute! Oh yeah don't forget to add sauteed onions/mushrooms to your steak and try a desert. Yummy!

This place rocks from the happy friendly servers to the cooked perfectly steaks and ribs. The warm bread they serve you is soft and fresh with a great sweet butter. This place is usually packed but we have not had to wait longer than 15 minutes for a seat. A little noisy with the lively music but I love the atmosphere and food!

I really enjoyed this place. Their rolls are really good as are their drinks. I got a chicken Caesar salad, a sangria margarita with a kicker of 1800 and then a peach tea vodka drink. The caeser salad was good but could have used more dressing. The sangria margarita was excellent and the peach tea vodka thing was just alright. The waitress was very good at the beginning but started slacking a lot towards the end. I don't know if I will ever have a chance to go back to a Texas Roadhouse but I'm glad I got to experience one.

WOW - this steak house was recommended to us by a fellow at the front desk of our hotel close by when we asked where a good place to have dinner would be. And we were so glad we went! We went this past Saturday night - long wait for a table (very popular place, it seems!), but we found immediate seating at the bar, which was very nice. Bunch of TVs on with various sports games. Our bartender, Sean, was super friendly and very helpful and informative. He took our food order, as well. Service was stellar - he and several other folks asked us several times during the meal if everything was ok and if we needed anything else. The rolls came first, nice an hot, with a flavorful butter - major yum. K had the bone-in rib eye steak, medium rare - it came so perfect that it didn't need any salt or pepper or steak sauce. So much flavor and so very tender. I had the half-slab of pork ribs; again, so tender and falling off the bone, yet still had that snap one likes on a rib. Very delightful dinner! Only thing we didn't care for was the onion blossom (strange coating and the onions were undercooked and didn't taste right - I guess we've been spoiled with our onion blossoms at WA state fairs :) ) When Sean noticed we didn't eat it, he took it away and didn't put it on the bill. Very nice - really appreciated that. Every half hour, the servers would line up in the aisle-way and dance; was a lot of fun and added to the amiable atmosphere. We really need one of these in the Seattle area - they've got Outback beat hands over fists. And for those of you with canine companions, our four-legged boy LOVED the bone from that steak; he was in pure hog heaven!

The place was, as excepted, hopping on a Saturday night. I called ahead for a table for 3 at 715pm. We arrived at 7pm and were seated at 730pm. We were seated and immediately served hot, fresh rolls and with good cinnamon butter. Service was fun and engaging. Maybe a little on the loud side in the restaurant, but it's not someplace you go for quiet conversation. I was expecting Arizona Steakhouse-Grade food, but it was much, much better. The 11oz steak I had may have been the most tender I've ever had, I kid you not! The only odd thing was that I only had 8 fries on my plate. It seemed like a strange place to skimp. Great place. Great food. Very popular, so be ready to wait to get in!

Saw the recipe for the honey butter on-line and decided to go to Texas Roadhouse. While waiting for a table talked with Candice who makes the hot rolls. Discovered during our conversation that I could have some to take home! Just let my server know after we ate. Wow!!! Our server, Hannah, was the absolute best (and that's saying a lot as all the servers here are very good). The asst. manager, Ashley, stopped by our table just to see if everything was okay. Not many restaurants do that. Anyhow, we headed home with rolls and butter for snacking on later tonight!

We stopped in for lunch yesterday. Basically the food was terrible. Steaks were overcooked and dry, ribs were also overcooked and charred. Mushrooms were bland. The sweet tea and margaritas were good. The same goes for all of the side dishes, mashed spuds, green beans, salads. This would have been a single star review save for the great service. The waitress was johnny on the spot, and the manager paid for our crap meal with no problems. Ill be back.

The food is cooked to perfection. The chicken and steak were delicious. And the server was friendly. The prices are good too

Ooooh! I love the food here. The actual business is just too loud for me at times hence the missing star. I endured another trip here for a late birthday dinner, even with all the little kids dancing/jumping in their booths and the crazy loud country music being forced into my ear canals - I enjoyed myself. The food - that began with their "blossom" or battered and fried whole onion. Kind if like a "blooming onion" from the Outback but better. Now mind you I'm not a huge fan of onions in general, I've recently been trying to break out of my "picky eater bubble" for some time now and I'm loving it. Caesar salad came next along with my sweet tea and their AAUUHHHMAZING rolls. Indeed, I over did all this pre-entree eating was the wrong thing to do to my poor belly but it felt so COMPLETLY right. Then the big finale comes, the 12oz ribeye and mashed potatoes. After cutting into this glorious slab of meat I confirm to him it's cooked to my medium rare request. Service was great, food was great and my time there was overall greaattt! Definetly looking forward to my next go-round.

This place is always so busy, and I really don't know why. The food is ordinary, the music is so loud you can't have a conversation there. They do give you a bucket of peanuts, and ample portions of food, IF they haven't run out of what you want. Too many other choices nearby to wait on this one.

  • Ashley T.

I've been here a few times and my last review was a 3 star about 2 years ago. Since then, we tried it again and I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered the bone-in ribeye and country fried sirloin with sides of green beans, salad and a loaded potato. We started off with the BEST rolls any restaurant has ever made, my opinion only, with their softened cinnamon butter. Just try not to eat too many so you don't stuff yourself before your meal. The salad came out next and it was very fresh and satisfying. Lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, crumbled eggs, shredded cheese, homemade croutons with homemade dressing. Then our meals came out in a timely manner. Hubby ordered the ribeye cooked to medium. It came out perfect! It was nicely marbled and very tender. It was seasoned very well. My country fried sirloin was pounded to about half inch thick and lightly battered and covered with a creamy, white gravy. The gravy was exactly what you would imagine eating in Texas: thick, savory and finger-licking good. The biggest surprise and improvement was their green beans. The last time we ordered it, it was super salty and very difficult to eat. This time, they kept their flavoring with bacon and onions with much less sodium. Much better. So, that's why I've updated my review and gave them their deserved four stars.

If you want a quiet meal and or have peanut allergies then this is not for you...if you like it loud and don't mind peanuts all over then you may just love it! The Sirloin kabobs are my favorite entree. They're seasoned to perfection and served on a bed of Mexican style rice with just the right amount of spice. The side salad with ranch and baked sweet potato with melted marshmallow are my favorite sides.

Delicious Stuffed Potatoes! *DROOL* SITREP This was the nice end to a HELLACIOUS day of being on the road and moving sh*t around. Add to that, the iPhone was crapping out since it was near the end of the day and the battery life of iPhones is...well....NOTORIOUS. But this was a random stop (a pure drive by) that lightened the load amazingly well. THE SETUP I think of Texas Roadhouse along the same lines I think of Outback Steakhouse: very clever steakhouses that identify themsevles with a THEME - even though here in the Panhandle of Idaho we are nowhere near Texas - just like even though anywhere in the U.S. we're nowhere near Australia. GIMMICKS? OR QUALITY? So the theme may be a gimmick to get people initially in the door. But if you aren't "cooking it up right", you can't expect people to come back. Likewise, if people are put off by a theme - but they come, and get hooked on the food, they'll be back, irrespective of any irritating gimmicks! THE MENU Sign me up for their sirloin steak and grilled shrimp dinner combo! * I zoned in on that combo right from the get-go when I saw it walking by in a servers hand going to another table. I didn't even need to look at the menu at that point. * Add in the most OBSCENELY LOADED BAKED POTATO (cheese, sour cream, bacon bits, chives, butter, more bacon bits, etc.) and I was literally in hog heaven. Oh my GOD. These are *drooool* worthy. I actually think of these more than any steak when "Texas Roadhouse" goes through my mind. YES, they are THAT AWESOME. * And I was feeling pretty fruity this night, so I had me a Jamaican Cowboy (Malibu Rum & Pineapple) and (since we were in Idaho, and NOT California nor Washington) I followed it up with a SECOND drink (unusual for me) - a nice cool Coors to follow it down with. I literally had enough to eat, but my only regret that I still need to rectify is that one of these times I hit Texas Roadhouse again with my uncle, I need to try their fried pickles! Missed it the first time. And forget again this last time. THE LOWDOWN I couldn't have asked for a nicer meal to end the day on.

Waited for the waiting staff to finish line dancing before they finally sat us at the table and by the our waiter Adam was way too excited

Great food and great service! Steaks were cooked exactly as ordered (which unfortunately seems difficult to do at other "steak" places). Drinks we constantly refilled, food was quick and a very friendly environment. Staff seemed to genuinely enjoy their job and it showed in their service. A nice noise level creates a fun atmosphere but still easy to have conversations at the table. A manager stopped by to check on things and actually honestly seemed to care and have a quick conversation with us. Brought back a bag of peanuts to go for my wife since it was her first time there which was a nice touch. Seems to be a very busy place and I can understand why. It is worth the wait and service was so good, you would never know that they were so busy. We need you to open one in Las Vegas for us! A+

From Maui to CDA, a staple for us when visiting our daughter in college. This time we brought family members and had a BLAST! Ranger was our server, he did an awesome job, always checking to see if we needed anything. Gave us suggestions on menu items. We will definitely be back!

Always great food and service. This is a great place to bring the kids and family for an excellent dinner. I would highly suggest the Rattlesnake Bites and for dinner the Chicken Fried Chicken. This will also provide lunch the next day. I have never experienced poor service or a bad meal.

Had not been here before- been to a different road house- Excellent service- it was friendly and accommodating and she talked to our 3 year old son which he appreciated- food was much better then I expected at a lower cost than I expected. Overall very satisfied and will be a return customer.

LOVE this place! The margaritas are excellent, bread is delicious and the steaks are always cooked perfectly. Service is always outstanding (1 bad experience so far with service and they gave us a free meal because of it) we go here every chance we get!

It was crazy busy when we got there and they told us it would be 30-40 minutes for a table which was fine but they got us in and at a table in 10 minutes. We were pretty excited about that! Once we got seated and settled I tried to talk to my friend but couldn't hear a thing she said. It is SO LOUD! I understand a reasonable amount of noise but the music was so loud I was shouting at someone sitting next to me. Our waitress was very sweet and we ordered our drinks and sat for 11 minutes waiting for them. We looked around for the waitress and saw her doing their little dance line. A little less dancing and a little more service would be much appreciated. Overall, the food was just okay and the prices were fine but the service was less than stellar, the noise level was ridiculous and the wait for food and drinks was absurd. I won't be back.

A chain you say? Yes maybe, but consistent, delicious and the best service in town. Line dancing waiters and yummy sweet rolls to boot.

Everything you want in a casual steakhouse. Friday night was busy but our group of 8 got a nice seat in only 15 min. We got ribs, fries, shrimp, sirloin and New York steaks and pulled pork and everything was very good! The only complaint was that it was too cold after spending all day in the 95 degree heat.

  • Mrs. J.

this place is ALWAYS consistent. Delicious prime rib and the sautéed mushrooms are so yummy. Wonderful side dishes and the rolls are like dessert. The price is great compared to other places. The servers are always great and it has always tasted exactly like it is supposed to. Even after more than 10 visits. My only issue is that I live an hour away. We need one in Spokane. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants. .

Arrived at Texas Roadhouse approximately 5:30 PM on 9/14/2014. We were greeted but the greeters attention were on an employee wanting some time off. We were essentially ignored as the employee wanting the time off was being dealt with right at the hostess desk. We were finally seated and eventually served. Marginal experience from a normally great company

I love this place. The steak cuts are great. The service is great. My kids love eating the peanuts here. We love going here. It is our favorite chain restaurant in CDA. Don't forget about the military discount if you are eligible!

  • Emily S.

Really great food here and the staff is super friendly and helpful. He only thing I would change about this place is the noise level and layout. It's already crowded enough on a fri/sat and the music and noise makes it feel even more crowded. Otherwise, I enjoyed this restaurant.

We stopped in for anniversary dinner. Was very happy with everything. The food was great and perfectly prepared. I saw a lot of staff leaning and chatting, but still they were attentive enough I never really had to wait on anything. Prices are very reasonable. We'll be back for sure.

The bread and butter that comes before the meal is amazing. The atmosphere is nice and the waitstaff are friendly. The steak was cooked to perfection. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves steak and good ol' southern charm. Just as a warning, sometimes the wait is long so I recommend calling ahead and making a reservation.

This place is great. Not only is the food always wonderful, but service is always great as well. Love that it's a family place and lots of fun with line dancing. I'd recommend the steaks! We are never disappointed and the ribs are yummy too! Don't forgot to enjoy those yummy sweet rolls and cinnamon honey butter.

We're from Beaverton, OR, and happen to be in town for a wedding. We decided to try out the Coeur d'Alene Texas Roadhouse location. We had the combo appetizers, the fried catfish, and chicken critter entrees. The meal was spot on with generous portions. The side salads were excellent and filling and the other accompanying sides of green beans were flavorful. The service was friend and attentive. The FOH manager Miguel even came to our table to welcome us, ask us if we had been in before and offered us a bag of peanuts and a free appetizer coupon if we ever come back in town. We felt welcome and left more than satisfied. We will definitely eat here again when we return. Thanks to the staff for a great experience.

I'm not a fan of chains, but these guys do it right. Food is always consistent and very tasty. The staff is always pleasant and smiling. I have never had a bad server there. Sometimes the misses and I sneak in just for a drink great bar, and Vindicator on tap!!! Went last night for a casual meal, food was great, server was Awesome! Keep up the good work.

There are some die-hard fans of the Roadhouse--I'm not one. Since the CDA one opened the Roadhouse is often crowdy and very noisy--though this has been my experience at the roadhouse in other locations too. The food is priced well and the wait staff tries to please. Once I ordered a pork sandwich that was dry and not too flavorful, so I pushed it aside and started to eat some of my wife's food. The waitress noticed and insisted on bringing me a new sandwich. The new sandwich was much better.

This was our favorite steakhouse since they opened...until recently. We didn't even mind the 45 minute drive. However, the last three visits the steaks have been served dry ( done to medium). Even though we mention this to our waitress ( which have all been friendly and courteous) still doesn't excuse a dry steak, which is unfortunate, especially when you are hungry and expecting a rich, mouth-watering steak they were known for.

Visiting from Los Angeles, we were hoping that this would be the kind of place we will never find in southern California - MEAT! and Country music and simple food. It was beyond expectations. Great attentive waitresses, and a top notch ribeye steak, cooked just as I asked. I also tried the chili (awesome!) and green beans - bacon! We didn't have to wait for a seat on a Tuesday evening, but the waitress told us that other nights were much busier, so plan ahead - but it is well worth it!

  • Amanda P.

The food was delicious! We had literally no wait to be seated! The staff was great! It was loud but very enjoyable and we will definitely be back. What would I say that would be a con? I ate wayyyyyy too much, but that isn't their problem, that's mine!

  • Leonard H.

Brooke was fabulous! Now that I have the server credentials out-of-the-way I got to say that Texas roadhouse is definitely a favorite whatever we're traveling in the Cortolane Idaho Idaho or Washington DC Virginia areas. The grilled shrimp on a stick is most definitely addictive as a favorite of mine. These guys know how to prepare the food and serve it in a fun festive way.

I have avoided coming here because it is a chain restaurant. Now I am sorry I waited so long. my n.y. strip was perfect and affordable. everything else was also excellent! Service was quick and great. A bit noisy but worth it. Will be back soon.

Ribs looked like they were stamped out off a mold. Really weird. Meat lacked flavor too. Had a bite of my gfs steak, which was overcooked and poorly seasoned. Nothing was too expensive, but the quality would still need to come up a bit to say you get what you paid for.

Made reservations for 10. When we showed up we were seated at 2 separate towers. We were not informed of this when we made the reservations. According to the staff, there were no tables large enough to accommodate our party. The food was decent, but there are other steak houses in the area that offer a better experience.

After searching yelp and feedback through Facebook we decided to see for ourselves. My kids loved the fact that you could throw peanut shells on the floor. Waitresses were very friendly and line danced twice during our visit between the tables and in the bar. The atmosphere of the place had you looking around wondering what was happening next. They served these hot home made rolls with cinnamon butter that are made fresh every 5 minutes. (You could eat those all day.). The prices are very reasonable and you receive a lot for the buck. We would definitely come back the next time we are over this way.

Great steaks, great service. One of the best places to eat in town. Can get a little loud , but you should expect that. Wait for a table almost every night. Thur, fri, sat, can be especially long.

Great Prime Rib. The best we have ever tasted.Good service. Happy environment. The food could be served hotter and also we would like the choice of plain butter or cinnamon butter. The salad could be a little larger and fresher. Great place that we would recommend to anyone. (Sun. 4 PM)

Phenomenal! The rolls and cinnamon-honey butter are to die for! Littering the floor with peanut shells brought back nice memories of when I lived in Texas. The service was top-notch, and the selection on the menu was huge. I got an 11oz medium cooked sirloin covered in sauteed mushrooms and my friend choose a 10 oz prime rib. Both meals were absolutely amazing! The manager was around greeting and chatting with everyone which was nice. We told her it was our first time there and she returned with a bag of those peanuts for us both to take each with a free appetizer coupon for next time. The only thing I was displeased with about the food was the rice side dish I chose - the seasoning just wasn't to my liking. I mentioned that to our server as we were leaving and she went off and got me a fresh new side dish (green beans with bacon) to add to the half steak I was taking home. Again, awesome service! The only minor complaint would be the temperature was cold inside. Most customers kept their coats on. But eh, who cares. I look forward to going back! Highly recommended!

Mediocre food. If Olive Garden is your favorite Italian, this may be your favorite steakhouse.

    (2)
  • Erin S.

It's all the same run of the mill food, except perhaps the cinnamon butter (best thing here), but you can easily make that at home. The service was lacking both times venturing here, as well as the food. If you have any peanut allergy, STAY AWAY! I don't, but the constant peanut dust in the air make me feel gross and dusty before I left. There are way better restaurants in our area to just settle for this mediocre chain food.

Two words - AHHHMAZING ROLLS. Ok, maybe more words. This place has awesome bbq and even better service. We loved the rolls and cinnamon honey butter they served. I could have ate 12 of them. Maybe I did........ BBQ shrimp and ribs were great! Salad was awesome. Son loved his burger. Everyone loved their food and the fun and lively atmosphere. We will definitely stop in again if we are passing through. A great place to stop on your way to Silverwood to fill up on some good food!

This was our first time at a Texas Roadhouse. They bring the most amazing warm rolls with cinnamon honey butter as you are seated. Rolls are perfect-chewy browned outside and tasty, soft inside. YUM! The rolls are enough reason alone to go here. There is a big pail of peanuts to snack on as well. Also good! The manager brought us a bag of peanuts with a coupon since it was our first time-that extra step made us feel welcome. We were here for lunch so skipped the full dinners with steaks, etc. We had the Road Kill (burger patty with grilled mushrooms and onions, buried under gooey cheese. The burger was a bit over-cooked (we wanted med-rare & they even cooked a second but it was overlooked as well) but the seasoning is good. I had the sirloin & veggie kabobs on top of seasoned rice. Sirloin was marinated & cooked nicely medium-rare); mushroom, onion & bell pepper had a coating that was a bit sweet but ok and rice was unusual but made me keep eating it until it was gone! It is mid-level as far as steakhouses go- but it was very good value for the price (they even took off the over-cooked burger with no questions). The line-dancing was fun to watch. The hostess, wahitress & manager were all super nice and would do anything to make sure the guest is happy. I would go back again.

We stopped in here on the way out of town recently as we were passing through on a roadtrip out to Montana. For whatever reason, Washington is really slow on getting restaurant chains that are seemingly popular in the rest of the country so I always get a little excited to find that they have a restaurant I've always wanted to try in a town I happen to be visiting or passing through. We came in mid-afternoon at a time that is usually a dead time for restaurants and employees are standing around fiddling their thumbs counting down the hours til their boring shift is over. We were greeted with smiles as soon as we walked in the door though and every employee - from the hostess, to the waitress, to the manager that came by after our meal was bubbly and upbeat. The food was great and the servings were huge. The waitress even back stocked us with more bread before we were done with what we had in front of us. We were excited to hear from one of the managers that she heard they would be opening one up in Washington near where we are from sometime in the next year or so!

As a twice a week customer, yes we love it. I was very unhappy when last night as my son in law went to open an already cracked peanut, a small BLACK BEETLE, climbed out. The manager was told and she seemed concerned, and apologized explaining it was a new batch. She took it away. No further action. My concern comes from the fact that if this was a new batch, shouldn't all the tables have their peanuts removed since this may not be the only bug, or even worse did this come from the kitchen. U

Really great prime rib. Fresh bread outstanding. Sides were ok, the house salad was mediocre at best. Margarita with a kick seemed to still have too much mixer, even with the extra shot, and EXPENSIVE. Not a bad country western atmosphere. If you are looking for an above average, affordable steak house, go here.

I first came across Texas Roadhouse in San Antonio and have yet to be disappointed. Today was my first time to this Idaho location and I'm still a fan. The service was great! Thank you Tina! Food was perfect! Prices were very very reasonable. Unlike the Texas locations here you do not throw the peanut shells on the floor. Staff still randomly breakout line dancing and all seem very eager to make you experience great!. If life ever brings me back to Idaho I will be stopping by again.

Great steak, well priced. But bad service. The waitresses are similar to Hooters girls. anyone with a peanut allergy should steer clear.

I have been here many times, but this time I brought my girlfriend, her daughter and her dad for his birthday and this had to be the worst service I have ever had at anyplace in a long time, to start we got there at about 4pm and were seated at about 4:08pm after calling an hour in advance, after being seated my girlfriend took her daughter to the bathroom and while they were gone our waiter came, I asked him to come back in 3 minutes, it was 10 min later he came back, we all ordered our drinks and waited another 10 minutes for our drinks to get there and still no bread. At 4:33pm he finally took our order; after he got our order out the appetizer showed up in less than 2 minutes and shortly after we finally got some bread. We asked for seconds on bread before the dinner came and it didn't show up till we were nearly finished with our meals. Our dinner came a little after 5pm, all the good was as we ordered it, steaks were great, and cooked to our liking, all in all the food was great but there service this trip was horrible, we arrived at 4pm and didn't leave till about 535. So that being said I am going to give only 2 stars for this trip.

This was the first and last time I will go there. I will give credit where credit is due. The steak I had was good. Fries were horrible like leather. The place was unbearably noisy. Then came the bill. I do not like leaving my credit card out of my site. In this place it's a must. I got charged 2 times on my credit card for the same meal on two days apart. It took 4 calls to the manager but he did finally straighten it out. I live well over 100 miles from there and could not just go in and see him. Again, credit where credit is due, the manager was courteous but very hard to get a hold of If you insist on eating there, bring cash. Prices are no bargain either.

The Roadhouse has great prices on solid food and drinks. But order small, because those steaks are huge! :)

Best food. Best steak. Best service. Best, best best! Waited more than an hour in the front - the place was jammed packed. Loud, peanuts on the floor, hot, bored kids running around, bah! Still the best. Once we got seated, everything was like we were the only table in the place (we were not - it still was jammed packed at ten o'clock at night). Great service. Drinks right away. Refills without asking. Food cooked perfectly, and if it wasn't it went right back and came out right the second time. Drop silverware, get replacements right away. Everything a restaurant should be - then the bill came. Is this right? Is that it? You sure? For all of us? Okay... :) Go here. Go, go, go. Actually, maybe check with me first because that hour wait was a bitch and I'd really rather you stayed away the nights I go, 'kay? =;^)

I simply had to try this place after hearing so much about it from just about everyone. The second I entered the place I noticed their over-staffed team of teenage girls all standing behind the front counter while there were a good 20+ people waiting to be seated. They offer free peanuts to those who have to wait but you have to get your hands on some first, and then proceed to throw your shells onto the ground. They have a jukebox in which you may choose from their disgustingly extensive country music selection. After waiting 15 minutes longer than they said we were led to the corner of the restaurant and given their widely acclaimed rolls. Our server was friendly and did her job well. The food was great and there are no complaints about the rolls. Their staff does this strange thing where they like to make it impossible for guests to navigate through the restaurant by synchronized dancing in the pathways of many. So overall I would say great food but an environment only a select few could enjoy

It gets loud, but for a nice ribeye steak like this? It's worth it. I love the house salad with greens, grated cheddar cheese, boiled egg bits, tomatoes, and croutons. The Rolla are great too.

My family and I go to Texas Roadhouse probably once a month, maybe more if there's a special occasion. It's a good idea to call ahead and put your name down at least an hour before you get there so you don't have to wait for too long. They always bring some bread to the table pretty much immediately, I have to ask for regular butter though since I don't care for their usual cinnamon honey stuff. Appetizers are brought out hot and delicious and in good time, too. (I adore their "rattlesnake bites", little balls of fried cheese and diced jalapeños! Yum!) We almost always get The Texas sized combos with steak and ribs or steak and chicken, but the Portobello mushroom chicken is reeeeeaaaaalllly good, too. They have quite a few good selections for sides but I always get double veggies (broccoli and carrots) I don't know how they cook them but they are crave worthy! Oh, let's not forget the chicken critters! Some of the best chicken strips I've ever had! I always steal my kids' when they aren't looking, lol! They have some really good margaritas, too. It's all priced really fairly, too! What a deal! It IS noisy, just be prepared. But hey, you'll be so busy gorging yourself with delicious food that you won't feel like talking ;)

wife and i came here for dinner on valentines day. we thought we were playing it safe arriving at 430 and still waited over an hour for a table. service was really good. everyone was still smiling and friendly though it was crazy busy. ive had the ribs before and they are usually pretty good but tonight they were perfect. literally falling off the bone and a nice amount of smoke flavor. steaks were ok. steak fries just were not good. i view ketchup as a masking for bad cooking but i really wish i had some to get these down. overall i was pretty impressed with how they had things running.

Went here for my birthday last September and had a freaking blast!! The food was fantastic I had the BBQ pulled pork, but the best part was the service! Our waitress Mataya Rose was incredible, she was my hero!

Went with a large group for a birthday party. Did call ahead seating which saved us a long wait. The service was prompt and the waitress was very knowledgable. Started with the wonderful rolls and cinnamon butter. Yum. Our group ordered a few fried pickles which has always been a favorite. None of us could eat them though as they were WAY salty. ( note: I like salt, but this was spilled a bottle of salt taste). Next came a dinner that was also in edible. Salty fried steak, pulled pork, fries, and catfish. We did talk to our waitress and the manager. Both were very professional, but there is no excuse for over salted food. Save yourself and go some where else.

This is one of my favorite chains out there and I had grown accustomed to a certain level of quality from these establishments. That being said, the service was good and the side dishes were good, but my bone in ribeye was possibly the worst steak I've ever had in a restaurant. It was raw on the edges and smelled funny, as if it was frozen before and then thrown straight on the grill. This place may be good on a lot of things, but you shouldn't screw up steaks in my opinion.

  • D.J. Y.

PURE YUM! I was told about this chain by my better half, after a recent visit to St. Louis. She was right.... Steaks dun right, and sides that are all made in-house, except the apple sauce. I had the chicken fried steak, it was super, Starch-boy, our son, had the rib-eye, OMG!! He inhaled it so fast I thought it had slipped off the plate. Better half had the pulled pork sandwich, which she had in St. Louis, she said it was just as good here as in St. Louis. Service was wonderful, Jinger, yes, with a "J", was helpful with the massive menu, she was spot on. Peanut allergists steer clear as roasted peanuts are handed out by the buckets, and the shells are all over the place, floor included. Beers the size of Texas, and for beer luv'ers, that's a good thing! Only minus was for the BLARING C&W toons that numb the mind....

Had dinner here, first time in one of these places. Ordered a beer, gal came back and said they were out, took her recommendation for the next beer, she came back and said they were changing the keg. I told her to just bring me any cold beer that might be in the establishment. 15 minutes after sitting down, I was enjoying a beer. Place was louder than I like. Line dancing? Yelling, peanut shells on the floor? Obviously this is not my kind of place. Food was actually very good.

This place was fun, the service was great, the food was fantastic (man they really know how to do steak there!), and the price was really reasonable. Thanks for a great experience, I will definitely be back and try the one in my town also. I highly recommend this place especially when you have kids. They love throwing the peanut shells on the floor. They thought it was great that you could make a mess & not get into trouble. I do not recommend this place if you have PEANUT ALLERGIES though.

We had a group of 5...got there before 5pm, were seated promptly. Great waitress, fun place...awesome service and good food. Personally I tried something different - sirloin tips and taters...yum, was not disappointed. Everyone enjoyed the meal they ordered...was even better 'cause we sat at the Willy Nelson table. Very cool. It ain't Texas (As we're here in Idaho) but it's great. Worth a visit...consistently good (We've been here before)

Good sized servings, excellent bread rolls with a ho down line dancing hootin' and a hollerin' good time. The servers and bar tenders make the place great with a great attitude and attentive service.

  • Jeff V.

OK, I'll admit it, I was pleasantly surprised. It was much better than one would think a blatantly obvious chain BBQ joint would be. The staff was very attentive, coming by pretty regularly. Even had 2 managers check in on us to see how we were doing and if everything was to our satisfaction. Word must have gotten out that we were yelpers.

I love this place, they have created a wonderful atmosphere with incredible food which is why it got a high review. I have had good food and service every time I have gone except for the most recent time on my husbands birthday. We went in and our waiter was incredibly forgetful, we had to ask for everything multiple times and there was no quality control on the food, our onion came out as a massive soggy chunk, the chicken was burnt, some of the food was cold, etc. We even had to remind him that we were there for his birthday! One thing that was the most disappointing was that it was our foreign exchange students first BBQ experience and her food came out bad. Such a good restaurant. Please don't let your standards slip.

Bomb diggity!! My husband and I ate here at his urging. He has been to the Roadhouse in Billings on a business trip, so when we ran across this one, he wanted to take me. The place was very laid back. They had buckets of peanuts on the tables for you to snack on, ad well as sweet rolls. The staff was all very friendly, despite the fact that the place was jam packed. "Honky-Tonk Badonkadonk" came on over their radio and all the server girls started dancing "Coyote Ugly"-style.:) My steak was cooked perfectly, I had a New York. My husband had the chicken fried steak which he enjoyed. Great food, great drinks, great prices, fun atmosphere!! They have my seal of approval.

We enjoy Texas Roadhouse. We stopped by with two of our kids, met up with another couple and one of their children. Wednesday evening at 8:00 pm, we did not wait to long for a table. That is where the good experience ended. The service was awful. The kids did not get drinks until after we asked several times, and asking was not an easy task, as our waitress was no where to be found. Wednesday, they have their sirloin special all day, however our waitress made us go outside to point out this special to her, because according to her, the only special they have is an early dine, and that is only available on Friday. Food came, and none of it was cooked right, and again the waitress was no where to be found. When we brought this to her attention, no problem, she tried to fix it, again wrong. Utensils needed to be washed, and no little spoons for little kids to eat with. The bill comes, and we sat to split the bill easily, told her who was on each bill, and somehow that was the last thing that could be completed correctly, still no go! We ended up with another's tables drinks and appetizers, and the special was not so special. Frustrated we paid and left, and on our way out, the manager didn't even acknowledge all the issues we had or say goodbye.

Another Texas Roadhouse that is fantastic. The food was excellent and the entire staff was great. They make you want to join in the fun. We love it when they all line up to dance and sing. Good 'old American fun!!! All the TR's should follow this one's example. Will definately go there again if in the area.

The last two visits we called ahead to get seating quicker. Both times the front lost our place in line and we had to wait over an hour to get seated. Why call ahead if your placed in order as if we just walked in. Not sure if we'll submit ourselves to that again. I gave it 3 stars for the quality of food being outstanding. The servers were awesome. Only issue was at the front door check in. Call ahead seating doesn't work !

My only complaint is how loud the music is. I have a migrane by the time we're finishing up our meal. The food is outstanding and the prices are reasonable. It's family friendly and fun. If they could just turn the volume down on their music a few notches I'd be a happy camper.

This was a pleasant surprise to find. Starving, the girlfriend and I went in here to have some lunch. She'd been to one of these in Texas and knew what to expect but I didn't. The service was friendly, the atmosphere fun, the food was very good, and the beer was cold and tasty. Best of all: CHEAP! (Maybe because it is Idaho though). We will be coming back!

This place we thought would be a great steakhouse as we really do not have one other than Wolf Lodge which is a bit out of town. Sorry but this was bad. Ordered my steak medium rare pressing toward rare and it came out well done. It was juice-less and the ribs were nothing but sauce. Mary had kabobs and her's made her a big sick to her stomach. Would not rate this place as a place you might want to go to. Atmosphere was nice but way too noisy..

  • Melissa P.

I was a little weary of this place when we first walked in. I felt a crunch under my feet constantly. I look down and peanut shells all over the floor! They have a huge barrel of peanuts for everyone to enjoy while you are waiting for your table. Also a jukebox (free) with all the country songs you can think of. The service was ok but they were fairly new so I think they were getting used to all the people. When you get seated they give you warm rolls with a cinnamon butter. Amazing idea. The food overall was very good. I would definitely eat there again.

I came here with my family to have dinner and the food and service was amazing, the place is a little loud and the wait could be shorter but good places are worth the wait and this place is no exception.

This place is a dilemma for me. It's fun, but you always have to wait to be seated. The ribs are great, but the steaks are just ok. But all in all, with the dancing servers and the hopping atmosphere, it's worth the wait. You just have to find the menu items that work for you.

Tried this place for the first time on Father's Day. Had already read some reviews, so we knew what to expect as far as atmosphere and food offerings. They don't take reservations, but they do offer a call-ahead service, so we called right as we left Spokane and they placed us on the waiting list. Not sure how busy they normally are, but they were completely packed, however we checked in and received a pager, and were seated within five minutes. This is definitely not the place to go if you're looking for quiet dining, but the atmosphere is fun, obviously with a country theme. Loud music, and tvs in the bar, and periodically the servers break out into line dancing. They start you off with some rolls served with cinnamon butter. I would have preferred plain butter, but I'm sure you could get it on request. We had a coupon for a free appetizer for signing up for their email club, so we got the onion blossom, which was crispy and salty and a notch above Outback's. Two of us ordered prime rib and the other had the pulled pork sandwich. The food was surprisingly good, probably the best prime rib I've had in Spokane in years. Several of the staff asked if it was our first time in, and the owner actually stopped by a couple times to check in on us, and give us a bag of free peanuts along with a coupon for a free appetizer for our next visit. With our free appetizer, two prime rib dinners, a pork sandwich, two iced teas and a coffee, our dinner came to around $44, which is a great deal. They also offer an early dining special of ten different entrees Mon-Thur before 5:30. Definitely a place to check out if you're a carnivore.

OK, first trip to the Roadhouse in CDA. I have heard from many people how good this place is. We were told by two hostess that everything was made fresh on site, except the fish was frozen, who tells you that!! We got some rolls with Cinnamon butter. The Rolss had no flavor, and with the cinnamon butter it was more like a dessert course..I would have been happy with plan old butter. I guess no one in the CDA area has any idea about texas food. I ordered the "Onion Blossom" starter which I found horrible, very strong panko breaded flavor, I dont like the panko, and it didn't state that the onion was breaded in panko, go to Outback for this. For the meal I ordered BBQ chicken, Baked Potato, and a house salad. The chicken was OK but nothing special about the flavor, I would have guessed bottled, not made on site BBQ sauce. The house salad was cold, but the tomatoes were complete mush. One bright side the potato was good. I will not even tell you about my wife's road kill Country Fried Steak. I guess being from the south, I should have known no smoker, no authentic texas food, Also the atmosphere was total country, the country music was so loud my wife and I had to yell at each other, and about every 20 minutes all the wait staff came out and did a line dance.. I will never return....I would put there with one of the worst places I have ever eaten.

Although they have only been open a month, you would never be able to tell. My daughter celebrated her 15th birthday here on a Friday and they bent over backwards to make it super. The service was awesome, they dance every 30 minutes or so and the food was all great. Even though they were packed the food was out fairly quick. Call ahead to put your name on the list and there might not even be a wait.

Good stuff

Had not been here before- been to a different road house- Excellent service- it was friendly and accommodating and she talked to our 3 year old son which he appreciated- food was much better then I expected at a lower cost than I expected. Overall very satisfied and will be a return customer.

Always great food and service. This is a great place to bring the kids and family for an excellent dinner. I would highly suggest the Rattlesnake Bites and for dinner the Chicken Fried Chicken. This will also provide lunch the next day. I have never experienced poor service or a bad meal.

Everything you want in a casual steakhouse. Friday night was busy but our group of 8 got a nice seat in only 15 min. We got ribs, fries, shrimp, sirloin and New York steaks and pulled pork and everything was very good! The only complaint was that it was too cold after spending all day in the 95 degree heat.

this place is ALWAYS consistent.

The food was delicious! We had literally no wait to be seated! The staff was great! It was loud but very enjoyable and we will definitely be back. What would I say that would be a con? I ate wayyyyyy too much, but that isn't their problem, that's mine!

Best food. =;^)

By far the best ribs I've ever had! Super cool place great food, great service, and line dancing every 45 min by all the staff, a sh*t kicking stomping good time!

Service is excellent, staff is always friendly and extremely helpful. Great atmosphere for the all ages, the food is reasonably $$ and the drinks are strong... I give this place a 5 star because the staff is awesome...

It gets loud, but for a nice ribeye steak like this? It's worth it. I love the house salad with greens, grated cheddar cheese, boiled egg bits, tomatoes, and croutons. The Rolla are great too.

Had the ribs and the onion appetizer. Was good but a little salty. Didn't have a wait since there was plenty of self seating available at the bar. Everyone was very friendly & helpful.
